Maryland State Humanities Council hosts a series called Standing Together, and the first of the series is set to take place on Mon. Nov. 10, at the University of Baltmore, beginning at 7 p.m.. From Korean War to Iraq War veterans, both fiction and non-fiction literary works examine the life of our armed forces, including diversity in the military, the experience of war, and the return to civilian life. Audience members will then engage in facilitated and meaningful discussion about veterans’ issues. Refreshments provided. FREE.
