Mashed Potatoes, Baby Carrots and Cauliflower with Bacon bits, Chives and Gouda Cream Sauce: 3 med potatoes peeled and diced 1/2 bag baby carrots Half head of cauliflower 1/4 cup bacon bits 1/4 cup chopped chives 2 tbsp butter 2 tsp garlic salt 3 tbsp half and half Boil veggies and mash with butter, 2 tsp garlic salt and 3 tbsp half and half. Add bacon bits and chives. Cream sauce: 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour Half cup of half and half 1 cup grated Gouda 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper Melt butter in skillet. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper, half and half then cheese. Stir til cheese melted. Serve over veggie mash.
