Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, undoubtedly the best pacer of Bangladesh performed his duty as a captain before but incessant injury troubles that prevail throughout his career did not allow him to hold on his position as the skipper of Bangladesh. But everyone has regained his form; Shakib made the differences in the first two tests, Mushfiq also contributed a lot, Riyad and Tamim are back in their form, Mominul knocked wonderfully in the last two tests. Now it is necessary to maintain this consistency. • There is a five match ODI series in front of you. How much confident you are now? Mashrafe: We want to focus in every match. Mashrafe: I have been thinking for the last several years to play more and more matches for Bangladesh. I never thought of captaincy, neither now or in the previous occasion. But as I’ve been assigned to this duty again, I’ll try my best to do well. • You could not run your captaincy in the previous occasion due to injury? Is this hampering your attention now? Mashrafe: Yeah, it is a matter of concern. Injuries could happen in any way, it is not related with captaincy but people keep saying perversely. I’m trying to maintain everything – In Sha Allah this time everything will be okay. • It is heard that BCB is thinking to assign you as the captain in 2015 World Cup also? Mashrafe: I have a series of five ODI matches in front of me. This is a long series and I’ve to think many things about it. I want to play well by myself and guide my team towards victory. So I have no chance now to think about anything more. • Are you fit enough to play five ODI matches consecutively? Mushfiq: In Sha Allah I’ve. I’ve decided not to play test now in order to give my service well in one day matches and T 20s. The result of the latest fitness test is also sound. • What do you think about the performance of the Zimbabwean team in ODI series? Mushfiq: They are a very good team in one day matches. And lot more depends upon conditions. As all of these are day night matches, dew will be a big factor. Our spinners will be in trouble if they would have to bowl in the second innings. • Do you think a complete white wash in the test series will ease your work? Mashrafe: Of course. Those who played in the tests against Zimbabwe have a clear idea now about the team. The important thing is that when you are among success, the confidence level is always high.
