Masomere linked with Platinum Shabanie Mine coach Luke Masomere has been linked as a possible replacement for Tenant Chilumba who has fallen out of favour with town rivals FC Platinum. Chilumba is strongly touted to be appointed as Power Dynamos coach in his home country Zambia. But Masomere has emerged as the most likely to take over in the event that the platinum miners cut ties with Chilumba. Chilumba has come under fire after surrendering the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top spot following a four-match winless streak. FC Platinum could use their financial muscle to lure Masomere, who has also been linked with a move to Buffaloes who recently parted ways with Saul Chaminuka. “FC Platinum are eager to have him. They have opened talks with him and it is most likely that he will be joining them since they have a financial edge over other teams that are interested in him. But if he joins FC Platinum that would be like David Moyes joining Liverpool,” said a source. Triangle are also reported to be keen on the gaffer, who is working without a contract at Shabanie. Masomere said a number of clubs have expressed interest in his services but could not divulge the names of the teams. “Right now I am weighing a number of options from some teams. I will just see what comes out in a number of days to come,” Masomere said.
