Mason Wroe to replace Gracida in International Cup play Mason Wroe will be replacing Carlitos Gracida on the US team entry in this year’s USPA International Cup scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 29th at 3PM at the Grand Champions Polo Club. A burst appendix ended Gracida’s appearance in USPA International Cup play. Gracida played in both the 2012 win against England and again last year as the US team ran over Chile for their second consecutive International Cup win. Wroe’s credentials include: Winner of a 14-goal event at IPC in Wellington, Winner of the USPA Governors Cup 6-goal in Houston, Winner/MVP – Polo on the Prairie 12-goal in Midland, Texas, Finalist in a 12-goal event in Houston, Finalist in the Tracy MacTaggert 8-goal, Finalist/BPP award in the Whitney Cup 8-goal, Winner & MVP 20g Herbie Pennell Cup at IPC; Winner 20g Joe Barry Cup at IPC; MVP – 14g Anniversary Cup; MVP – 20g West Coast Open in Santa Barbara 2012. A member of Team USPA, Wroe was going to have to share time with fellow 4-goal Team USPA members Felipe Viana and Jesse Bray. With Carlitos Gracida out of the lineup, Wroe was drafted by the US team allowing him to play a full game on Saturday. Wroe made his debut in high-goal polo in Wellington two years ago with Coca-Cola, and will be returning to the Coca-Cola lineup in 2015.
