Mass Stabbing in Pennsylvania. Apparently a 10th grader with two knives caused multiple injuries to 20 students at his school. Get ready for the internet to light up with despicable laughter of deranged gun nuts, demanding to know when the Libruls will start passing Knife Control laws! They will smugly declare that this terrible incident proves, once and for all, that guns are not to blame for Americas epidemic of violence. When you see one on these ignorant and hateful diatribes, ask the poster the following questions? 1. How many kids died? (Answer: None. All the victims are expected to recover. Please cite ANY mass shooting where everyone, including the assailant , lived. Killing someone with a knife actually takes some skill. With a gun, its literally point and shoot) 2. How many of the victims were further than arms length from their attacker when they were wounded? (Answer: None, obviously. A knife is an up close and personal weapon. Ivan Lopez, the Fort Hood killer, drove down the street shooting people on the sidewalk and in other cars. There is no such thing as a drive-by stabbing. Lopez also killed or wounded 20 people, at several different locations on the base, and he got it done in less than eight minutes.) 3. How many of the victims were wounded from outside the room they were in? (Answer: None. You cant stab someone in the next room, even if theyre standing really close to the wall. But the Fort Hood shooter killed a man by firing through the door that the victim was holding closed.) The gun worshippers will once again dredge up the ridiculous argument that you can kill someone with a rock or a stick. But no one can throw a rock to strike a target with deadly accuracy at a range of a hundred yards, or throw 800 rocks per minute. And a bad guy with a stick isnt much of a threat to a room full of unarmed good guys. These arguments a stupid and thoughtless, especially when made in the face of tragedy. But YOU WILL see them today, I promise.
