Massive SVEEP rally to target young voters organized in Doda Sachnews Jammu Kashmir Ali Faiz DODA, OCTOBER 31: In continuation to earlier efforts of District Administration Doda, to sensitise and educate voters especially young and first time voters of the District about the election process and importance of participation in it, a massive rally under the aegis of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Program was today organized from Government Higher Secondary School ( Boys) Doda . About 700 students from different educational institutions participated in the rally which was flagged off by Chief Education Officer Doda Mr. Ayaz Mughal. The rally after passing through Main road, Bus stand, Nagri, Tondwah and Bun-Doda culminated at GHSS ( Boys ) Doda. At Government Higher Secondary School ( Boys) Doda, District Election Officer ( Deputy Commissioner) Doda Mr. Shyam Vinod Meena addressed the students and personally demonstrated the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). A brainstorming interaction session was held in which the queries and confusions of students regarding Election Process were answered by the District Election Officer. Later on all the participants pledged to vote in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2014 and they also pledged to spread the message of DEO to their near and dear ones in a cascading way so that an enhanced voter turnout could be achieved in the elections. During the programme pledge letters were also distributed among the participants. PO ICDS ( Nodal Officer SVEEP) Doda Mr. Surat Singh also spoke on the occasion and appealed all the voters of the District to come enthusiastically and vote in the upcoming elections which are to be held on 25th of November 2014. District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda Mr. S.R Kotwal, Principal GHSS Boys Doda among other staff members of different Educational Institutions participated in the rally.
