Massive car count will fill the pits at Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway this weekend with the running of 4 massive events. Topping the list will be the Modified Sedan XXXX Australian Open with Australias best set to do battle over 2 nights. Australian Champion Mark Carlin will be one of the favourites along with Queensland Champion Gavin Fletcher. Take into account Raymont, Worling, Doyle and last years winner Gavin Lorensen this years event looks set to be the best yet. The biggest event on the 4 Cylinder Calendar the Cols Fiberglass King of Australia will be another event to watch with locals Hamish Redman and Cameron Taylor among the favourites along with NSW Champion Trent Dhu. A stellar field of cars has assembled with Queensland and defending King of Australia Champion Tim Weir aiming to put his poor start to the season behind him by adding another trophy to his cabinet this weekend. Australian Champion Tim Atkin will be one of the favourites in the Kurt Murdoch 1000 for Production Sedans with Josh Arthur and Josh Crang among the other favoured contenders. Sentimental favourite Russell Cowley will definitely be out for victory and after his strong start to the season will be right at the pointy end of the race. Not to be out done the Junior Sedans will contest the Shannons Wide Bay Title over the two nights with any number of competitors able to take the victory. Ardie Jonic, joel Berkley, Brendan Learoyd and Carter Armstrong will be among the favoured runners to take out the event.
