Massive power breakdown hits Sindh. Several areas of Sindh province were plunged into darkness early today, leaving over 20 million people without electricity due to a massive power failure. The outage was caused when Guddu-Dadu transmission line tripped due to a technical fault. Power failure happened around 3.45 am when 500 KV power line got tripped due to moisture. Karachi, a city of over 23 million people, and Hyderabad and Jamshoro districts plunged into darkness due to power failure. Pakistans power line system is old and needs repair as well replacement.
