Mastering an album is the most micro-obsessive part of making an album. Been days (weeks) of trying different configurations of EQs, compressors, expanders, enhancers, inflators, saturators, limiters, wideners, signal paths, bit rates and sample rates and dithering, to best complement the song mixes & breathe the best life into them with continuity. A battle and compromise of energy vs. clarity, bringing everything close to you without losing the subtleties. I *think* I got it. Still hearing some degradation but its close.
