Masterworks Monday! American composer John Adams (1947 - ) is associated with the minimalist movement (like Philip Glass, who we posted about before). However, even though he does employ minimalist techniques such as repeated patterns, he does not consider himself as a strictly minimalist composer. His music also includes elements of romanticism.
