Match Report: Monday 17th March On St Patrick’s Day in the Monday Gatorade 5’s the Arnold Celtic boys picked up a brilliant 9-7 victory over Top Lad to make it 2 wins on the bounce. Inter doubled their opponents R5’s goal tally by 20 goals to 10 with Darren scoring 7 screamers for Inter. Another standout performance at the back from Son of a Pitch’s Matt helped them secure a 20-5 win over El Diablo. Came BPT put last week’s defeat behind them with a 15-4 win against Dynamo Horn. Lincolnshire Poacher II vs San Marino was a brilliant game with some cracking goalkeeping and defending from both sides to keep the score fairly low. In the end Poacher narrowly edged the tie 8-7. In the Monday 6 a side Premier League Humm Dingers started the night off with a cracking 6-4 victory over the league leaders a the start of the night PMG. The final score finished 6-4 to the Dingers and Brady was the man of the match in this one for an all round good performance. In Humm Dingers 2nd game however they came up against the newly promoted Scoregasm who were high on confidence. Tonight Brad of Scoregasm took the game by the scruff of the neck and helped his side win 10-1. Sherwood make it 2 out of 2 so far this season and stay in 2nd placed with a 7-4 victory over Quiz Akaboosi. Blueberry Cheese go top on goal difference after beating Unseen & Silent 5-2. The night kicked off with Valley vs Smack My Pitch Up in the Monday 6’s Championship. It was a end to end game with plenty of goals with the final score finishing 8-5 to Valley FC. Match of the Day were delighted to secure their 2nd win of the season by doubling Lincolnshire Poacher’s goal tally to win 6-3. Rich of MOTD played a good game and also bagged 2. There was no stopping the league leaders Blue Boys tonight with Luke smashing home 4 of their 10 goals whilst only conceding 1 against Psychi-Hattrick. Beatables put last weeks defeat to their back of their minds and ran out 9-5 winners against Unathletico Madrid. Bayern Neverlussen remain top of the Monday 6’s League 1 with the only team to keep their 100% record intact in this league. Tonight they managed to beat Top Lad by 6 goals to 2 with James scoring to of those. Charlie Palmer were in fine form and were delighted to get back to winning ways, the final score finish Charlie Palmer 10 GSB 1. A stand out performance from Palmer’s Daz who pulled the strings in the middle of the park and scored 2 for himself. Newcomers Egg Fried Reus were looking to build on last weeks good win but they came up against a determined M&S side. With only 2 goals in it, it was M&S that edged this one 6-4. 2 Goals 1 Cup vs Redz was a real thriller to end the night with both teams giving as good as they got. Sheldon of 2 Goals 1 Cup was the difference between the 2 sides with a nice hat trick to his name.
