Match Report: With an unlucky result against Ballyfermot last weekend Mount Merrion were looking for a quick start tonight and got it. Sharp passing and early pressure paid off with a goal coming in the first 5 minutes from youngster Mark Hall. Tidy play down the right wing from Nick Skelly and Karl Corbett ended in a ball coming into Hall who only needed two touches to lob it over the keeps head. A second goal came shortly after, great play again down the right ended in another fine cross with Sean Stewart chesting and finishing low in the bottom corner starting from where he left off last season. The game petered out after this early pressure and Mount Merrion looked comfortable throughout. A great performance between the sticks from our new Keeper Shane and a solid debut performance from returning Merrion Merrion vet Gilly Beamin means things are looking bright for the first team this season.
