Match Reports for the weekends games at Millmerran U7 Clancy Smith Water Services & Allora Pharmacy No match report provided. Big numbers from both Wattles and Millmerran allowed these young warriors the chance to play full games with the team split in 2 and hold centre court on the main field. From what I can recall a great game was had by Reuben Sullivan and Ryan Gillam. U8 Malcolm & Johnson What a great way to start the season , the team continued where they left off from their trial game with a good solid performance . With half the team playing their first season it was important that our more experienced players lead the way, and they did. Jack Wright controlled the team well in attack and scored a try. Hamish Gartery made plenty of breaks and showed his speed and scored two tries, his covering defence was impressive . Samuel Gilmore and Thomas Blake were strong in defence and ran the ball well. Marty Warboys gave good ball from dummy half and had some sneaky last tackle runs . Ryan Gillam, Byron Joppich showed off there speed making plenty of breaks , Piper Brady and Abbey Monckton also ran the ball well . The team is showing good progress and effort isnt a problem. U9 Cook Haulage Pty Ltd No match report provided I did not get a chance to watch this game. U10 Eastwell and Sons Transport A great game both defensively and in attack, Liam Ruhle and Michael Shingles controlled that play very well with Liam at dummy half making quick runs and beautiful passes hitting his man more often than not, Michael was great in defence pulling off some great tackles and running hard. Darcy Minikin made wonderful yards in every hit up, he has a great step and it will be great to watch him develop over the season. Tobias Siebel, AJ Harris and Casey were also good with many hard straight runs and solid defence. Thank you to the U9 players who played for us today, your services will be required throughout the year. U11 Clifton Auto Ag No Game U12 Ryanie for Tyres Last years U11 Grand Final runners up the started off where they left off with a dominant display against the Cowboys running out a convincing 50-0 victory. All team members put their hand up and had a great effort with a stand out performance from Jack Bashford 3 tries and many hard runs,in what was Jacks best game played for some time. Darby Peardon, Hunter Hamblin, Joe Willet, Lachlan Harris, Jackson Cook all hand wonderful games. Our talk on the field was pleasing and the direction from the halves and hard running forwards gave us a good platform to build on. Our fitness will improve and the drills they are learning at training will continue to see them play exciting football. U14. Clifton Real Estate The Clifton Real Estate U/14s had a positive start to the season with a good win over a spirited Millmerran. Wattles dominated the first half with some well executed tries coming off the back of strong forward charges with good ball movement and support play out wide. After leading 42 -8 at half time , to Millmerrans credit they never gave up and scored a couple of good tries however Wattles replied with a couple of their own. Millmerran outscored Wattles in the second half however with a big lead, and the hot conditions the team started to wilt. We will continue to work hard on our fitness levels both on the training paddock and in matches and I do expect a lot of improvement in the following weeks.. All players contributed well with standout performances from second rower Tyler Davies, Dylan H Cullen, Paden Murphy and Lachlan Henry. Special mention to the Under 13s players who are playing up this year with many of them positioned in the forwards performing strongly. The final score was 56-24 We play Stanthorpe in Clifton this weekend. Ian Brady
