Match Results ! The first fishing match of the season took place today on Easter Sunday. The day started out very wet and cold but thankfully the weather improved to make life a little easier for the participants. It was great to see some new faces with Mick Turner taking part in his first match as well as the usual regulars! The ladies were well represented by Eva Burton, Anne Wall and Diane Stainrod. The match was won by Ian Garfitt who fished particularly well with an excellent catch of 41lbs 2oz, beating our usual champion Paul Bell into second place with his catch of 26lbs 6ozs. Adam Fletcher won Section 1 with 6lbs 12oz, Ann Wall won Section 2 with 5lbs 6oz and Alan Rushforth won Section 3 with 12lbs 6oz. Full results are below.
