Match report: Stoke City 0 Chelsea 2 The Blues will be top at Christmas thanks to goals from John Terry and Cesc Fabregas. The skipper’s 60 for Chelsea was scored right at the start but although there were periods of the game when we were totally in control, Stoke had their spells too and the points did not feel totally safe until Fabregas found the net from close range inside the final quarter of an hour. Thibaut Courtois was called into action more than on many occasions this season and will be pleased with his display at a difficult away ground, while his opposite number Amir Begovic made good saves from Willian and Diego Costa, but it was a match when Nemanja Matic in the middle caught the eye as much as any player.
