Material and sufficient evidence necessary for a conviction in criminal cases - Nyaya yemaWhindi who Stripped Girl in Harare A jubilant kind of mood prevailed when the news came out that the girls who was stripped, finally came forward and made a statement to the Police, then Tindo surfaced, the young man who rescued the girl; then Marvelous Kandemiri was arrested, and he appeared in court marimwe zuro, on the 29th of December. He was denied bail by the court and his case remanded to January 12th, 2015. I understand that another tout; akabvarura bhurugwa remusikana wacho chaiye ~ one who violently tore the girlss pant ~ has been arrested. All good, and of-course on this forum , there was a big ECHO that one or two arrests are not enough, vanhu vakange vakawanda vaye, they should ALL be arrested and face the music. Anyway, an arrest is one thing; a conviction is another. The accused are innocent until they are proved guilty. Sufficient evidence must be produced in court, to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the accused committed the said offence of indecent assault. You need witnesses, materials and other documents to build the bucket of evidence. In this case, there are already two material witnesses who have made their statements. Who in your view are some of the witnesses in this case, and why do you think their evidence is material? What about the video or photos, should these be accepted by the court? If not why not? There are mixed views being present on this point of the video and photos. What do you think? Weigh in your views nehandatv/2014/12/18/sick-touts-undress-woman-mini-skirt/
