Math is Cool at Eton School! by Minee Verma, Eton Parent The Eton Schools 4th Grade Team of 15 students (4 teams) went to Mount Rainer High School to participate in Math is Cool Championship 2014 Regionals on Friday, April 18. The students enthusiasm and love for Math earned them an award and one team is to the Masters (State Championship) in Moses Lake on May 17, 2014 . There were 100 team and 450 students participated and competed . Our all 4 teams showed good sportsmanship. Each participant went through Mental Math, Individual, Team Multiple Choice, Team Test, Relay and three rounds of college bowl. The parents showed immense support by driving the team there, being team parents and helping score the contest . Thanks to the coach Mridul Verma. He showed the students some great number tricks, facts, formulas, and strategies of Math, which was a substantial help in winning the competition.
