Matriarchal societies were not the opposite of parenthetical societies. With women dominating and controlling men, or the society as a whole. It is based on balance between the masculine and the feminine, and harmony with nature. The mother has always been the teacher, the father the protector, and it is this balance that makes up the foundation of Matriarchal societies. The sacred feminine and sacred masculine, are an intricate part of human anatomy in that of feminine consciousness corresponds to the right hemisphere of the brain and the left side of the body, and the masculine consciousness corresponds to the left hemisphere of the brain, and the right side of the body. Patriarch focuses on History, Linear Time, Dogma, Rationality, Waking Reality, and Science. Matriarchal focuses on Eternity, Cycles Of Time, Ritual, Magick, and Art. Commonly the right hand is giving, and the left hand receiving. Now in our society science is valued higher than art. Linear time is far more of our societies focuses than of cycles of time. We live in a society filled with dogma, and at the same time we lack ritual. So on and so on, we see all these small levels the imbalance of our society. Therefore until we as individuals make the effort to balance the sacred feminine and sacred masculine qualities of who we really are we will never achieve the highest level of consciousness. Once the balance of emotions, mind, and body are achieve consciousness grows and thus attains the ability of expatiation. We are spiritual beings having and earth experience, and are incarnation in this body so that our souls can transcend beyond the earthly plane. Surrendering your lower self to your higher self is the key to entering sacred space. Thus the ego of the everyday world must be set aside, while the higher self connects with cosmic energy.
