Matt Bianco is one of my favorite bands, but nobody seems to know about or like them. Before Basia became a solo artist, she was part of Matt Bianco. Blue Rondo à la Turk was a floating collective of jazz and salsa oriented musicians that emerged from the New Romantic post-punk movement in UK, but is perhaps better known in retrospect for launching the careers of several players who went on to form the sophisticated jazz/Latin/samba/pop group Matt Bianco. The first 4 albums they made are all classics of jazzy pop.
