Matt Klinkovsky mentioned that he likes to send and receive real, snail mail, letters. I told him I liked that so Im stuck with having to post seven little known facts about me. I will not guarantee their actual factual nature. 1.) Im only going along with this because Matt sent me an actual, thoughtful, two page long letter. 2.) For a minute there in high school I thought I might be gay. I found this upsetting because I wasnt attracted to men but gay people seemed to be the only other people who thought regular people were odd. I wasnt sure how I was going to work around the not-attracted-to-men thing. 3.) I have literally bumped into Alan Ginsberg and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. I once interviewed William Burroughs. It was a disaster. I was very good friends with an artist who lived in the Beat Hotel in Paris. He knew all of those guys. 4.) I hardly ever listen to punk rock. I listen to a lot more old timey music than punk rock. 5.) When I was in junior high school I thought I might want to be a priest. Then I found out that I would have to go to school, like forever, and learn a bunch of dead languages. That sounded like too much work and I had been under the impression being a priest would be easy cause they only worked one day a week. 6.) Im a very good cook. 7.) Between the ages of 18 and 35 I lived in New Jersey, Oakland, back to Jersey, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Venice, back to Oakland, Chicago, Cedar Lake, Indiana, Bloomington, Indiana, Southport, Indiana, back to Bloomington, San Francisco for a little while, back to Bloomington again, back to San Francisco and finally west Sonoma County. One year in Chicago I worked at 14 different jobs. I was a weldor and work was easy to come by. I got pissed off a lot. After moving here, I worked at the same job for not quite 23 years and lived at a few different addresses, all within a mile or two of each other. Ive lived at my present address for more than ten years.
