Matt Murphy is a loudmouth and a buffoon. I listen to his show on occasion and enjoy his commentary but hes a political shock jock, lets not kid ourselves here. Thats what he does. No one (of either ideology) need defend/berate him because he makes a good living doing it. Look, violence has no place in our politics but I dont think theres anything more Alabama than calling someone out (with some salty language) that is encroaching upon your personal honor. Is Griffith polished enough to be Governor? Probably not. Is Matt Murphy a clown and this is all a big show? Probably so. But Ill close on this . . . Everyone talks about the Charles Bishop/Lowell Barron brawl in the state house. Few people remember it was then-State Senator Parker Griffith that broke that up by interceding between the two men and for all of Bishops strength in his right hook . . . Griffith carried him across the floor of the state senate with one arm like he was a rag doll. My point? Dont poke Dr. Griffith. And that, folks is both sides of the story.
