Matt Smith, a local Howard County musician, will be making his second performance at the Sunday Howard County Farmers Market this Sunday, November 10th at the Oakland Mills Village Center, from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon! Matt Smith was born in Freehold, NJ and has been playing guitar since the age of 15. His love of music originated as early as 1st grade, when his parents gave his very first tape: The Beach Boys Greatest Hits. His musical influences include Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Cornell, The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen. He has previously played in the alternative rock bands Single Degree of Freedom, Venus From Afar and The Cause, and has performed at clubs, festivals, and weddings throughout the Northeast. This Sunday, Matt will be accompanied by a local musician, Debby, who will be peforming during the first set beginning at 9:30 am!
