Matt Stevens is a friend of mine. I did not go to school with him, we did not meet in an office, nor did we collide on the dance floor of a disco (although that would have been cool). I got to know Matt through listening to his music, attending his live shows and sharing a few drinks afterwards. His is one of my favourite musicians and it turns out that he is a top bloke too; inventive, honest, friendly and above all, a genuine talent. Matt has a new solo album out right now called Lucid and while there are a many great bands and artists I would happily share a link to help promote their album, few move me enough to say this: Matt Stevens new album is absolutely superb.
