Matt Wiggins to co-host the 23rd Annual Iowa Motion Picture Association Awards FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 6, 2014 Iowa based entertainer and actor Matt Wiggins will co-host and assist in the production of the Iowa Motion Picture Associations 23rd Annual Awards Gala & Extravaganza, the Iowa Motion Picture Association confirmed today. The red carpet event will take place at the recently renovated Capital Theatre in Burlington, IA on March 28th and 29th. Mr. Wiggins confirmed his participation earlier this week and expressed excitement and appreciation for being offered the opportunity. Mr. Wiggins commented, The IMPA is a pivotal variable in the success and future growth of a holistic approach to filmmaking in Iowa and a cause that I champion. I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to join the IMPA team. The event is a celebration of that cause and a testimony to the creative talent and drive for success that Iowans have to offer the motion picture industry. Joining Mr. Wiggins on the stage for this years show is award winning actress and IMPA board member, Susan Wynne Lunning Ms. Lunning was selected by the IMPA board to host the event and she expressed great excitement in the board agreeing to have Mr. Wiggins join her stating, Matt is a perfect representation of the positive and creative filmmaker energy we want to project. I believe we will make a great duo. The IMPA is confident that this years event will be an enhanced experience and expand upon the last 22 years of success. They are excited to have talented and passionate personalities like Mr. Wiggins and Ms. Lunning onboard for this important event. Also joining the red carpet celebration as keynote speaker is Academy Award Winning screenwriter and producer, Barry Morrow. Mr. Morrow is an Iowa native best known for writing the story and screenplay for Rain Man, starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. He won the Academy Award for his work on Rain Man in 1989. He has also been nominated for a Golden Globe and multiple Emmys, winning the award in 1982 for Outstanding Writing in a Series or Special for his work on Bill starring Mickey Rooney and Dennis Quaid.
