Matt is three. His mom is in recovery so there are many conversations in front of Matt about recovery. The other day in the car with my sister, Matt in the back seat, I said, Hey Matt! Where do you want to go today? He said, I think we should find solid ground. Last night.... Me, Matt. Do you need to go potty? Matt, Nope. Me, Okay. But dont go potty in your pants. Matt, Looking down and thinking then he says, Well. Im human. So, yeah, no. I see where we are going with this one. Its as if he was saying, Hey! Im flawed. All of us are flawed. Most of the time I go pee pee in the potty. But every now and again, hey, I go pee pee right in my pants. Because Im just a human being and you need to embrace all my flaws.
