Matthew 11:28-29 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me What a strange paradox that a man already weary and overloaded must take a new weight upon him, in order to be eased and find rest! This is the wondrous power of the cross. Jesus is telling us that when we let our own pride and anger rule, there is nothing but mental stress and agony in our lives; but when the meekness and humility of Christ dwells in our hearts, all is smooth, peaceable, and quiet. The grace of God in Christ Jesus imposes nothing that is too difficult. On the contrary, it provides for the complete removal of all that which oppresses and renders you and I miserable. Learn how to find renewed strength as you wait upon Him, confidently knowing that He will be your strength to endure all that is before you.
