Matthew 14:15–21 Some days it feels as though we barely have enough energy to make it until bedtime. Every item on our to-do list feels as though it weighs a ton. Every relationship seems like it requires more of an investment than we are able to make. Yet life doesn’t stand still while we muster up more inner strength. We have to take care of things immediately. Jesus put his disciples in a position of living beyond their resources too. The good news is that they needed only to offer him what they had—which wasn’t much, not nearly enough to meet the need. But our resources paired with Jesus’ resources always equals enough, even when our resources are pitifully small. He multiplies whatever we offer. All we have to do is offer it.
