Matthew 16 says Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants - TopicsExpress

Matthew 16 says Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Modern Christianity has tossed this verse to the curb. While many television preachers speak about maximizing the blessings of God and being prosperous, Christ tells us the secret to those blessings and prosperity. You must put God first, others second, and yourself last. You must be a servant to God and others. Gods laws are oftentimes the exact opposite of mans innate nature to serve himself. You will never know the real blessings, peace, and joy of the spirit realm by keeping your focus on your pleasures, your troubles, or on the things that you want. Its only when we give up our rights to do our own thing and search for happiness for ourselves that God miraculously blesses us with that real joy that only He can bring us. You cant buy this, but rather, you earn it from the King of the universe when you take Him at His Word. Ask yourself this question? Am I happy? If not, take your focus off of you today and unto God and serve others. You will be pleasantly surprised by what happens next. God guarantees it!
