Matthew 17:20 New King James Version (NKJV) 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. James 2:17 New King James Version (NKJV) 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Belief: An opinion or judgement in which a person is fully persuaded. Faith: Belief + Action + Confidence Faith includes our beliefs, but it is bigger than that. Faith requires action. If it doesnt move us to do something or say something - actually take some kind of action - its not really faith at all. Until we take action our faith is jut a bunch of words. James says that unless faith produces works (action), it is in fact dead, or not at all. Confidence: Trust that is based on knowledge or past experience. Basically confidence is a measure of how firmly we hold to a particular belief. When we BELIEVE the truth with enough CONFIDENCE to take ACTION we exercise our FAITH. And it doesnt take much of that faith to see huge things happen, even miraculous things. So why did I write all of this? I told you that my grandson prayed that God would let my teeth grow back in. His sister said That God doesnt do that. His response was, If God can raise a man from the dead He can make Grandmas teeth grow back in. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been overcome with emotion over my grandsons faith. I thanked him for praying for me, and told him grandma prays for the same thing. Here is the part that I am taking ACTION; since his prayer my mouth has hurt and is bumpy. Last night my daughter Ariel Napier said that God could take the pain away. I told her that I thought I had the pain so that I know He is working on my mouth. God is great and Brandon (my grandson) and I are praying for a miracle. New teeth! I believe that God does the miraculous today. My grandsons faith has spoken volumes to me and made me make the decision to take action. My trust is based on God who only wants good things for me. Satan wanted me afraid to speak out about what I believe, and truthfully he won for awhile, but I have chosen to stand on my belief and faith in God. Sharing my prayer for gift of a miracle on this special day; the day of Gods gift of His Son to us.
