(Matthew 24:3-7) (3) And as Jesus sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples [Peter, James, John, and Andrew] came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the world? (4) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that NO MAN deceive you. (5) For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many [many false preachers and teachers claiming to be Christians will be misleading Gods people by teaching their own words, their own doctrines and mans traditions; and not teaching Gods word]. (6) And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that you be not troubled: for ALL these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (7) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be FAMINES, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (8) All these are the beginning of sorrows... (Mark 13:8) [Jesus speaking] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be FAMINES and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. (Luke 21:11) [Jesus speaking] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and FAMINES, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. (Amos 8:11-12) (11) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a FAMINE in the land, not a FAMINE of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: (12) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
