[Matthew 24:37-38] “But as the days of Noah were, so also will - TopicsExpress

[Matthew 24:37-38] “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,” Jesus spoke far ahead of His time relating to us, and what life would be like just prior to His coming. Life will be normal until…..... They ate, drank, married right up until the time Noah entered the ark. Then the destruction of the flood suddenly came and they were destroyed. In Noah’s day there was plenty of warning, but no preparation. Why? Because they didnt heed him, they mocked him instead. Most of the Church has become indifferent about the second coming of Christ, replacing it with, God is going to take us out, not making His Kingdom on earth the real focus.......and building His Church, that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against. The bible clearly states the earth will be just like Noahs day, which is not a pretty scene. [Luke 13:34] O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! In the time of Christ, the Jews were looking so hard for the Kingdom, they missed the King. I really have a concern, that today, so many people are looking for the King, they are going to miss the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God on Earth. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. During those times, people were drinking, eating and marrying until the flood came and destroyed them all. We can see that there is an increase of wickedness of the people today, just like in the days of Noah. The darkness is covering the Earth and gross darkness the people as Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 60. There are many Christians who are getting more involved in the affairs of the world than their affairs with the Lord. The Lord warned us to watch and pray. But many were just eating, drinking, marrying, partying and so on. Are we not supposed to be like Noah? Just as Noah “found favor in the eyes of the Lord” we need to be “found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless” otherwise, we will be like those left outside of the ark when the floods came. [2 Chronicles 16:9] For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Daddy God’s eyes are searching and seeking to find those who are blameless among the people in this evil generation. He is seeking those who will walk steadfastly, those upon whom He can place His favor, and His Spirit, and His Authority and Kingdom Shaking binding and loosing Power. Will we find favor in the eyes of the Lord or will His eyes turn away because of the sin and disobedience He sees in us? The Lord loves us all equally. He has no favorites. To His eyes, we are all His children. But there are some people who have found favor in the eyes of the Lord. There are many in the Bible like Abraham, Job, Noah, Moses, David, Enoch, Elijah and so on who found favor in His eyes. They are the ones who walked with Him. They are the ones who obeyed Him no matter what the cost and no matter how hard it was. They are the ones who remained blameless. They are the ones who kept on pressing forward despite difficulties. They are the ones who cried out and prayed longer. They are the ones who wanted their lives to be pleasing to Father-God. If we want to find favor in the eyes of the Lord, we should be obedient and walk with Him. What does it mean to “walk with God?” It means “to walk in God’s footsteps.” It means to follow Him. Our whole life should be committed to the Lord. Our Father-God favors the obedient, He favors the Righteous. He knows those who really love Him. He favors those who keep on seeking His face, those who long for His love, and those who keep His commandments. He favors those who do what is right even when everyone else is doing wrong. No matter how discouraging it may get at times, keep walking with God, even if no one else around you does. Noah did and so did the others who found favor in the eyes of the Lord. When we die, it will not matter if we found FAVOR in the EYES of the PEOPLE. What matters is if we found FAVOR in the EYES of the LORD. “For you bless the Righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield. [Psalms 5:12]
