Matthew 27:19-20 Now as he was seated in the chair of judgement, - TopicsExpress

Matthew 27:19-20 Now as he was seated in the chair of judgement, his wife sent him a message, Have nothing to do with this man; I have been upset all day about a dram I had about him. The chief priests and elders however, had persuaded the crowd to demand the release of Barabbus and the execution of Jesus. Pilate was at the point where he wanted nothing to do with this crucifixion. His wife had sent warning to him about a dream, the chief priests and elders were full of jealousy, and now, as he tried to reason with the crowd, it was pointless. The crowd had been PERSUADED by the chief priests elders. Its real easy to get caught up in the crowd, especially if you have leaders pushing and encouraging you in THEIR direction. Its good to listen to other viewpoints, whether it be the media, religion, politics, or even in the local church. But in the end, remember, dont just follow the crowd because everyone else is. Think for yourself. Pray. Get into the bible and ask that the Holy Spirit begin to teach you. Father today we ask that you give us wisdom in knowing what right and whats wrong. As the old song goes, Though none go with me, still I will follow Bless each one as we make our stand for you. In Jesus name.....
