Matthew 28:19 (NASB95) 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, There seem to be several parts to this command that Jesus issues to His disciples. However, there is one major emphasis, to make disciples. This is the imperative, the command in this passage. Go, baptizing, teaching all support the command to make disciples. This is not to minimize any part of the command, but to make sure our focus is on the great work of making disciples. To make disciples of all the nations requires going beyond our borders. The “Go,” in this verse literally means having gone. Having gone in our daily life travels. Having gone beyond our local neighborhood, village, town, state, and even country, we are to make disciples of all the nations. Consider how you can make disciples, where your travels take you, and where God may take you. Making disciples is our work!
