Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Is it possible to attract someone to Church, to a commitment to Jesus without true conversion? If a man convinces a man of their need to make their life right, is that the same as the Holy Spirit convincing a person of their sinfulness. True repentance I fear is getting rare, true tears, true guilt, true given up of oneself to the Holy Spirit of God. If everyone who confesses to be a Christian was truly saved we wouldnt be able to build churches big enough to hold them all. You cannot love God without loving His Church, the two go hand in hand. Church is the place God selected for man to worship Him, and work for Him. Thats because we need each other, my love for Christ drives me to Church each week, the gift God placed in me is not for me to ignore, and only use when I feel like it. True conversion recognizes our great need for the Body of Christ.
