Matthew 5:45 (KJV) 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. The first place many christians look to when the storm clouds are brewing and it seems everything is going wrong is to the devil. They start blaming everything on the devil and convince themselves satan is personally attacking their lives. But more often than not Satan is not even remotely involved in your situations. There is this thing call life and there are times when its just not easy. There are times when we have made decisions and there are consequences whether good or bad for those decisions. There are times when others around us make decisions and we get caught in the cross fires and thing can escalate quickly People get thier lights cut off and blame the devil but truth is you didnt pay your bill. People run out of gas and blame the devil but when was the last time you put gas in your tank. People die. Its a sad fact of life that they do but it is none the less. Evil people lose loved ones and righteous people lose love ones.. it rains on the just and the unjust... its just a fact of life. But when things go bad people want someone to blame and they usually look at everyone else but themselves.. Blame God, blame the devil, blame mom, blame dad, blame.. blame.. blame. Now there are genuine moments in lives when attacks are of the devil, he isnt off the hook.. but more often then not most of what happens to people is just life. When life knocks us down we just dust off, get back up and keep going.. we put our confidence and not our blame on God and not the devil. There may be times where you are innocent and life sneaks up and uppercuts you.. you shake it off and keep going.. if you see the storm clouds just remember one word from the Master can calm the storm and if He doesnt calm the storm know that he will walk with you through it..
