Matthew and I received some upsetting news tonight that Viviens school, MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD, will be closing at the end of the school year. This school has been of great benefit to Vivien, giving her an appreciation for music, art and theater...as well as being a much more conducive atmosphere for learning than our local public school was. The official reason for the school closing is because of low enrollment and too many building repairs needed. We are also hearing that the school is not failing, but this is simply a real estate deal -- where the private school is essentially being sold out to be turned into a public school.
