Matthew, in the below verses, tries to fool us, by stating that a star led the men to where the baby Jesus was. MT 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, MT 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. MT 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When did stars start traveling? Any 7th grader can spot the falsehood, in this story, in a second. He/She knows for a fact that stars don’t travel and that the only star in our galaxy is the sun. Tonight, go outside & look up at the sky and try to figure out which house or person any particular star stands over.
