Mattie has a question for us about gathering teaching materials for the future: “As an pre-service teacher I have had experiences in many classrooms ranging from k-8th grade. I will obtain a license for k-8th grade--a pretty big span of content. So, my question pertains to teaching materials: Do you have any advice for how, or if, I should go about collecting classroom materials (manipulatives, storage, posters, artifacts,etc.) when I could be placed in any grade level in a variety of schools? Stated another way, what are materials I should start collecting to be prepared for most any grade level? Or is it wiser to obtain a job and then begin securing materials for the grade level? Thanks!”
