Mauritian Meat Patties (Pate) Dough: 1 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 3 tsp vegetable oil(I used butter about 3/4 a cup) 1/3 cup of ice cold water Mix all the ingredients except the water and add the water until you get very soft dough You should have a soft dough that is sticky, sprinkle with a little flour and kneed for 2 mins... Put it in the fridge and cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 mins ... Then fill with your favourite filling. I used fried king fish, some herbs and lightly spiced. You can bake or fry. If you bake, please brush with egg yolk and grease baking sheet. Bake on 350 for about 20 to 30 mins
