Maverick had his scopes done last night by the Pulmonologist and the ENT. They found a hemogmonia that was blocking most of his airway. He has basically been breathing out of a hole the size of a pea for almost a month. (Valentine thought it was a virus) He will have to be on beta blockers to shrink the hemogmonia for a year. He should breathe easier in a couple weeks, when that shrinks down. He also has an extra branch of his lungs as the doctors call an accessory lobe. Shouldnt be an issue. His anatomy is just different from others. What he has is rare, but the ENT has seen it before and has had Much success with the beta blockers doing the trick. It was hard seeing our baby with a breathing tube and feeding tube as he stayed in the PICU last night for monitoring. Will be a busy day today as he gets the tubes out and we move to the main floor of the Childrens Hospital. We hope to be home on Sunday.Say a prayer for our sweet baby boy! Happy 4th of July everyone!
