Max 2009 Max didnt slow down after a busy year in 2008. He continued enjoying travelling, eating, walking, playing, having his routine life, spending time with his loved ones and got spoiled. He loved both his northern and southern homes. Every corner of our houses left his paw marks. He also continued playing an important role in the family. He loved everyone in the family, especially Grandma. Max was Grandma’s guarding angle when Grandma started having abnormal heart beats at night early in the year. Without anybody telling him, Max would lie down by Grandma’s side after he did his last business around 10pm. When it’s getting too late and Grandma was still reading book, watching movie or on the internet, Max would press his chin on Grandma’s laps to remind her it’s time to sleep. He would continue doing that until Grandma stood up and be ready for bed. Max would make sure Grandma was in bed before he lay down on his own bed. Later that year, Mommy had a bad cold after her trip to Germany. Grandma took care of Mommy and got this contagious European virus from Mommy. Grandma had fever, it turned to pneumonia, then she coughed up blood during the holidays. Again, Max was always by Mommy and Grandma’s side. He gave up his comfortable bed – his favorite spot, and slept by Garndma’s bed. He would sit up and watch Grandma in the middle of the night whenever she made a sound, a move, or coughed … Max not only cared for family members. He was a great comforter to our friends and neighbors. He was a joy and gave energy and fun to our elderly neighbors in Florida. He helped our friend go through her toughest time with his unconditional love, kindness, tenderness, caring and hospitality… Our friend now has her own dog, Buster, who is Max’s little buddy and a great companion of hers. What a considerate, thoughtful, and smart dog! Max is better than some human beings. We miss him every day, especially his beautiful eyes – deep, loving, understanding, caring and honest!
