Maxwell Christian- I wonder if you can assist HRT. I live in Mabvuku in Munene Street. We have not had electricity since the 25th August in Muda, Munene & Rozwa Street when our substation located by Batanai School between Munene & Muda Street caught fire and blew up on 25-08-13. The streets that are affected are the entire Munene Street & the even numbered side of Rozwa & odd numbered side of Muda Streets in Mabvuku between Batanai Primary School & Mabvuku Clinic. Estimate wise, these are about 140 household that are affected. I personally feel ZESA is taking its sweet time. We do not have the contact details of our Councilllors & our MP Mr James Maridadi, for them to take up the matter at higher level. The ZESA Mabvuku Faults Dept just said they knew about the issue and that they were waiting for Head Office or ZESA Stores to provide the spares they ordered. They just put in or erected two poles/pylons early last week to supposedly place a transformer there, but not much progress has occurred since then and we are now approaching the third week without electricity. Is there someone in the ZESA Head Office who can be contacted? The ZESA Mabvuku Office said to me that they placed orders of all that they require to reconnect ZESA, but, that they had not received the items for us to effect repairs and reconnections. If you also have the names of Councillors for Mabvuku, please avail the details to me. As for our MP, he does not even seem to be on Facebook and I do not even know how to get in touch with him – I’m contactable on 0712 693490 or 0772 200969.
