May 10, 1889, Buffalo Bills Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World opened at the Paris Exposition in their camp at Neuilly. The Exposition also saw the opening of Gustav Eiffels Tower. Annie Oakley had rejoined the cast for the 1889 season after the departure of Lillian Smith, the young sharpshooting lady rival that Annie highly disapproved of for her loose ways. Also in the cast was Johnnie Baker, his first wife, Della Farrell, Georgia Duffy, Red Shirt, Rocky Bear, Bronco Bill Irving and his wife Kitsipimi Otunna with their children, John Nelson and his family, including his wife Jenny, who was Red Clouds sister, and his son John Jr. also called Yellow Horse and daughter Julia, also called Yellow Elk Woman. Here is a photo of Buffalo Bill Cody striding through the camp at Neuilly, taken with a pinhole camera. A photo of Bronco Bill Irving, his wife Kitsipimi Otunna and their children Billie, daughter name unknown, and Bennie Irving from the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. Finally a photo of the Nelson family, Jim, Tom, Jenny, John, young daughter Rose, Julia Yellow Elk Woman, and John Jr. Yellow Horse Nelson, again from the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave.
