May 2, 2015 Take a stand!!! The People of the UK have had to endure a lot since 2008, not least the austerity measures imposed by this government. We have had the mess that is ATOS, the mess around the question on Europe, David Cameron came close to overseeing the break up of the United Kingdom, there has been the expenses scandal, the MPs 11% pay rise whilst the rest of us are restricted to yearly 1% increases. There has been the pedophile cover up and the mess at organizing a review. There was even the mess that was the phone tapping scandal by the Sun newspaper where Cameron was seen to be cosy with some of the lead suspects, its not a great leap to realize as many already do that the politicians sleep very tightly next to the British media. Lets not forget that the government does not have an energy policy and how Fracking is steam rolling on without the explicit consent of the people. Enough is enough. The people must have their say prior to the elections to let the politicians know we are not happy and that there must be a radical change within politics. If we can not do away with politics as we know it then there must be better oversight of how government operates, a better chance for smaller parties to come to the fore to challenge the status quo, more democracy at local level and the ability to have a say in how our future is shaped. The politicians are meant to serve you, the people, if youre not having a voice on that process then something is wrong. This is not democracy as it should be. Together, regardless of political allegiance, regardless of ideology, we must all stand united, workers, the unemployed, rich, poor, young, old, black, white, men, women and children, we will stand at the gates of Downing Street and demand a change. We will not be silent. There does not have to be a theme, an idea, an itinerary, just you, your voice and your anger. Directed to the heart of government. A static protest outside the gates of Downing street, followed by a dispersal to anywhere else you feel may be relevant to make your voice heard. Peaceful but loud. Civil disobedience highly encouraged. PINNED POSTView De https://youtube/watch?v=NAyp3AO2TTc#t=195
