May 2nd Saige will undergo a behavioral test. The audiologist explained to me that this test is done to see if there is any reaction to sound with her hearing aids. After we get the results from that, we will get to meet our Cochlear Team if everything goes as expected. We got a packet on some information about the Cochlear Team and I cant wait to dig in and read it. Wendy (Saiges Audiologist) said that she spoke with a member from the team and because we have Tricare insurance, Saige can not get her implants before 12 months. Im hoping she is bilaterally (both sides) implated and activated before Christmas. It will be close, but wouldnt that be an awesome Christmas present? I cant wait to sing her Christmas Carols :D Saige is sleeping right now, but I will post a picture of her with her super awesome pink sparkly ear molds when she wakes up! Prepare yourself for the cuteness!!
