May Allah have mercy on our poor souls. So sad how we have oppressed and punished our souls and hearts by polluting it with the love of this world and depriving it from the blessed and pure love of the almighty Allah when it is actually made only for the love of Allah. What could be a greater oppression than to take the owner of our hearts out of our hearts and replace him with the love of worthless and futile things, the love of which only brings destruction of both worlds. So sad how our hearts so quickly get attached and falls in love with worldly things yet neglects the ultimate creator, giver and sustainer of all things. The heart and love are the most Precious things thus should only be for Allah. If one does not even have love for his parents how can you expect any good from him and his heart must be rotten. If he has love for them then you can expect some love from him too. Like wise one who does not have the love of Allah the creator of all things and the giver of all blessings has no good in him. If he has a loving heart to love Allah then surely he can love all of Allahs creations. Allah lets people experience the pleasures of his love in two ways. Firstly he chooses who he wants to out of his mercy and secondly those who try hard by turning towards him. This is explained in the verse. الله يجتبي اليه من يشاء ويهدي اليه من اناب (Allah chooses towards him those he wants and guides towards him those who submit towards him) May Allah make us amongst those whom he grants the taste of his love out of his sheer mercy and untill he does shower his special mercy on us may he give us the ability to carry on striving.
