He does not internalise the stress, just over boisterous and living in the moment, being reactive. Not predisposed to stress barking or frantic pacing, but a serious puller on the collar and lead. Dogs Trust brought him over from the pounds in Ireland in November, so no manners or training before then, and probably not been in a house before. Not used to car travel either. He is fine around other dogs (keen to play) and loves people. An extrovert but that hides the long term stress and insecurities he is having to cope with. Eager to work for treats, a quick learner despite adrenaline levels - calmness and concentration will appear when his stress levels become lower, with my help of course. Loves toys (leave alone as well as interactive) and we watched him making his own entertainment today with a tennis ball and a ramp - so shows creativity and initiative. All very promising, and certainly a project to keep us busy 😄 I am going to have so much fun 😊 Many thanks to the Dogs Trust at Evesham, who have done a fantastic job with him and I am very impressed with their Pre Adoption Talk that we attended today. I am not sure when exactly we will be having him, it all depends on their over stretched admin processes (it was heaving with people wanting to adopt dogs these past few days!)
