May is Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month – a time to raise awareness and generate support for individuals living with this inherited disease that causes the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain. For many people with the disease, involuntary or impaired movement is a daily struggle, requiring them to use wheelchairs, walkers or scooters. We are proud to acknowledge that we have helped two past recipients with Huntington’s disease and made their homes more accessible and comfortable.
