Old Fashioned Horehound Candy and Cherry Drops are the rage at Brown’s Drug Store. It is recorded that 100 years ago the first white settler to locate within the city limits of the village of Clyde was one, Jesse Benton. Why shouldn’t we plan to celebrate! A new store is coming! The Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. will open for business on March 1st by C. W. Whitehead who has leased the block formerly occupied by E. M. Crawford Clothing Co. A sausage 43 feet long is reported by G.E. Setzler south of town.
